Space-Pods.

Space-Pods Overview

This game is a flappy-bird clone, created by Barry Lewis. I have included this application on my portfolio as we have conducted multiple workshops as a team using this application, and I have provided some coding refinement techniques which were utilized to help convert the application for use in those workshops.

“Frustrating but in that addictive and fun kind of way. A really unique twist on an already fun game concept.”

JULY 2016

Workshop - Bath Digital Festival 2016

Barry Lewis and myself conducted a gaming session and workshop spread across multiple rooms in the City of Bath College for the 2016 Bath Digital Festival. The session involved helping attendees to the session create their own flappy-bird clones using Scratch, and there were also computers available with demonstrations of similar applications that Barry Lewis and I had created, each with unique ideas and twists, to help give the attendees some inspiration for their Scratch games.

The main thing we wanted to convey with the workshop is that coding can be fun and to show that programming, even programming just simple application using beginner/entry level tools, can be a unique artistic expression of a developer with the right imagination.
