VR World Congress.

Attended VR World Congress 2017

Barry Lewis and I attended the VR World Congress 2017. We used this exciting opportunity to ask developers and exhibitors in attendance about their experiences working in the industry and with Virtual Reality (VR) as a whole.

We were able to experience and test products not yet available to the general public and were able to provide feedback and constructive criticisms on some of the products that we were introduced to at the event. This was particularly useful, as it was a good way of seeing different approaches to displaying their products, and method of handling user feedback.

In addition to browsing and testing the exhibitions available, we used the time to conduct some pseudo-market research; we noted the differences between exhibitor techniques and how popular the stalls appeared to be in order to see if there was any correlations between them that we would be able to use to our own advantage should we ever exhibit any of our work in a similar environment.

It was a very enlightening experience and was a good way of reassuring ourselves that this was an area that we would want to pursue further. This event was key in fueling our determination to work with similar technology and inspired us to experiment to see what we could do with the technology.

We were very excited to have had the opportunity to attend the world congress for Virtual Reality (VR) in Bristol in 2017. We took a lot of pictures and videos to document our experience and took the opportunity to talk to developers that are pre-existing in the industry to find out more about the experiences we may face, by looking to break into this same industry. It was very informative and further fueled our drive and determination to work towards our own company working with VR applications.
