Vive Cave Experience.

Vive Cave Experience Overview

Please note that this application is a technical demonstration and is not necessarily a release-standard application. This application may be formally released at a future date.

This technical demonstration was created by myself and Barry Lewis during experiments to see if we would be able to convert the Mine Ride created for our FdSc final project to HTC Vive.

We were successful in our conversion to the HTC Vive and this prototype demonstrates rock falls and how VR can replicate the sense of being underground. This prototype also experiments with real-time lighting that can move with the player, and casting shadows realistically.

Explore a cave system and avoid the falling rocks. The caves get dark, so it might be necessary to pick up nearby lanterns to carry and light the way through.
